Festive Lunch Dec 15th
On December 15th, special guest Rob Corbett of Castlewood Vineyard and Farm will join Mark to co-host a Festive Kitchen Table.
Rob and wife Kate have had a busy year, not only creating stunning wines at their boutique vineyard just down the road from Mark’s home in Musbury, but they have also become beef farmers!
Starting out as a Dairy Farmer, Rob decided to diversify and plant vines on the south facing slopes of Musbury Castle nearly 20 years ago. Throughout the meal, he will talk about the Corbett family’s recent transition from dairy farming into beef, and their holistic approach to farming as a whole.
Rob will guide through how he makes his wines and the trials and tribulations of growing grapes in the Axe Valley! He’ll introduce you to some new styles not yet released; pushing the boundaries of minimal intervention winemaking and the use of different fermentation vessels including steel, oak and clay!
I’ll be cooking up a six course seasonal meal. Rob will pair his wines along side a course of Castlewood Beef, and I’ll serve some Tonnix favourites too!
