An Evening of Fishy Tales with Mark Hix and Nettie Wakefield
at Wright Brothers, Battersea

You may have seen the recent collaboration of prints that Mark and Nettie Wakefield have produced. Launched late last year, Nettie’s incredible artwork including Mark’s fish and seafood recipes were exhibited at Jealous Gallery in the East End of London. Now, the exhibition comes to West London – with the whole collection being displayed at Wright Brothers restaurant in Battersea in June – we let you know when the exhibition has been installed via Mark’s Instagram – so keep your eyes peeled for that.

Fishy Tales combine seafood recipes by Mark Hix, accompanied by beautifully detailed illustrations by Nettie; combined to create a series of 28 limited edition artworks, which are available online, framed or unframed – and perfect for your home kitchen! The idea was inspired by the Andy Warhol book Wild Raspberries, which once sat proudly in Mark’s Kitchen Library at Tramshed.

Join Mark and Nettie as they host this one-off dinner, with a menu based on the artwork recipes. Each course, taken of course, from the artwork collection, will be accompanied some some of Mark’s own wines – Tonnix and Devon Minnow.

Tickets can be bought directly from Wright Brothers using the link below.

Meet The Wright Brothers

Mark has worked with Robin and Ben, founders of Wright Brothers for many years. Mark was in fact one of the first chefs to start serving their oysters back in The Ivy days when the brothers-in-law first set out as wholesalers, and continued to work with them closely over the last twenty years. They now supply over 500 restaurants in the UK with fish and shellfish, as well as delivering to your doorstep via their online shop.

Wright Brothers Borough has been a stalwart of the famous food market for 20 years, with South Kensington and Battersea Power Station completing their current portfolio of restaurants. If  you haven’t been before – now is your chance to experience a very special evening with fantastic hosts and the freshest fish from around the British Isles.
