It’s good to be back!

This stretch of coast has always meant a lot to me, so to be cooking for guests here again is something I’m genuinely excited about.

From 11 May, I’ll be opening ‘Mark’s’ at The Pop Up Kitchen in Lyme Regis, open at least two evenings a week. It’s a small, intimate set-up, which is exactly how I like it – personally cooking for my guests, keeping things relaxed, and focusing on the fantastic local produce we have on our doorstep, some of which I will have foraged for.

After making the difficult decision to close The Oyster & Fish House in 2024 due to so many challenges in the industry, this pop-up gives me the chance to get back to what I love – cooking good food and bringing it back to Lyme – without the pressures of running a full-time restaurant.

It’s going to be simple, informal, and a lot of fun. Later in the year I will be hosting Mark’s Bar cocktail evenings too so keep an eye out for those. They will still be seated but with drinks and snacks rather than a full meal.

I’m really looking forward to welcoming people to Mark’s and cooking in Lyme again.

Set Menu

It will be simple set menu with 2 sittings of at 5.30pm and 8pm. Gluten free, dairy free and vegan diets are not a problem, as long as I have advance notice, but I cannot accommodate all allergies and dietary requests due to the nature of the set menu each night. It’s only 18 covers per sitting so please make sure you book in advance online. If you would like to book a table of 7 or more, please email your request to us. Scroll down to see what menu will be served on which date, be it a steak night, herb-fed chicken night, or seasonal menu.

I’ll also be joined by my friend Nick Cadwell, who some of you might have seen foraging with me on social media. He’ll be hosting front of house and looking after everyone, which makes it all feel even more personal.

Please note the sample menus on this website are just that, to give you an idea of Mark’s food. The menu you have on the night may well be different.
